Stone village by the Gardon, ideal starting point to explore the Gard.
From Collias, everything is close: the Gardon for swimming, Pont du Gard 10 minutes away, Uzès and its markets 10 minutes away. Here are the essentials to plan your days.
The village of Collias
A stone village with Greek origins, Collias grew around a feudal tower around 1000 AD. Located between Nîmes, Avignon and Uzès, 5 km from Pont du Gard, it's a place where thousand-year history meets nature's pleasures.

Heritage & History
Founded by Greek settlers, the village preserves traces from every era: Paleolithic caves, Roman remains and early Christian sites at the Hermitage. In the 12th century, Notre-Dame-de-Laval chapel became a popular pilgrimage site. Later, Collias prospered through silk production and Picholine olives, before becoming today's beloved nature destination.
